We are a group of professional men and women who enjoy working on community projects and fund raising for both local and international causes.  We also have an active social calendar for members and their families.

Here’s what we’re up to…

This year as part of our ongoing commitment to the local community, we are seeking to support a project to bring potentially 2 defibrillators to Long Eaton town centre. We have agreed to aid local first responder and member of The Young Performers, Zak Charlesworth in his aim to raise £2,000 to fund the defibrillators. It is hoped one will be on the outside of The Duchess Theatre. To launch our support we asked Past President of Beeston Rotary Club, Bruce Liddle to come and demonstrate how a defibrillator works. Watch out for further details throughout the year of how you can help the club and Zak in our quest.

Dawnbreakers Support Tools With A Mission

This year Dawnbreakers will be supporting Tools With A Mission. We will be collecting unused and unwanted tools to be refurbished and sent to Africa where it will help people to learn new skills and stand on their own feet. Watch out for how you can help but in the meantime please search through your garages and sheds and see what you can donate.
Charity Quiz Night A Great Success

Charity Quiz Night A Great Success

Nearly 140 people attended our second charity quiz night at The Westgate Suite. In a fiercely fought contest 21 teams battled for the title but after a tie breaker it was reigning champions The Village Idiots who managed to retain their title. The final sum raised is likely to reach £1,000 which will be shared between The Sand Dams Project and Beating Bowel Cancer.

After 25 years of hard work, Rotary and its partners are on the brink of eradicating this tenacious disease, but a strong push is needed now to root it out once and for all.
