Dawnbreakers travelled to Chesterfield on Wednesday 18th November to take part in the next round of the Rotary Inter-Club 10 Pin Bowling Competition. With expectations high and our secret weapon Kay with her newly purchased bowling ball, we talked tactics about tactics and who would buy the drinks.
On arriving at Chesterfield Bowl we found it to be a really nice venue and our opposition (Chesterfield Rotary Club ) was a jolly and friendly bunch.
The first of two games was quite closely matched and we succeeded in winning by 67 points!
After a short break for drinks and a toilet stop our average scores increased and we managed to take the lead on hold it to the end the second game by scoring 992 points compared with Chesterfield’s score of 898.
An impressive result and we are looking forward to the next round.
Many thanks to Jeremy for offering to take us all in his new mini bus.
